This hands-on session focuses on the Sites at Penn State tool, a blogging and website platform powered by WordPress. Get started with the Sites at Penn State tool and learn to create a personal or course blog, department, event, or course website, or an ePortfolio. Discuss best practices for managing text, posts, pages, media, and themes while exercising best practices in site design.

Objectives:

• Explore the Sites at Penn State interface
• Create new site pages to include content such as contact information, information about the site owner, or a resume
• Create and manage blog and ePortfolio content including text, files, links, images, and video
• Change the site theme including the header image

Learn to use breakout rooms and other interactive tools to increase collaboration in Zoom. Participants will experience options for having their meeting attendees interact using tools such as chat, annotation tools, and breakout rooms. Participants will also develop ideas for setting up and using these tools to get meeting attendees working together in their own online sessions.

• Define collaboration in meetings and synchronous online classrooms and identify how collaboration supports higher levels of learning and cooperation
