New Teaching Visually Series Announced for SummerFest II - 2016

Over the last several years,  Teaching and Learning with Technology has partnered with us to offer a series of workshops on Self-Directed Learning and Learner Engagement. Now, the popular tradition continues with a new collaborative series focused on teaching visually.

Over the course of three sessions, participants will explore the core principles and best practices of teaching visually—participants are even encouraged to share examples of visuals they use. After the introductory session, workshops will dive into what makes a visual effective, identify common pitfalls, how to incorporate the right visuals to meet a specific instructional goal, and how to assess.

For those interested in learning how to turn their classes into a more engaging learning environment, this free, online series arrives just in time for the upcoming fall semester. Participants are encouraged to register for the entire series, but they may choose to sign up for just one or two of the sessions as their schedules permit.
