Introduction

LinkedIn Learning (LIL) is an online, self-paced learning platform that offers video courses and learning paths (including all of the content from Lynda.com) to help you increase your technology, creative, and business skills. LIL analyzes the latest in industry trends, job postings, and user activity to ensure their content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date.

In this article, you will learn how to set up your account, navigate the interface, and share content. In addition, you will learn how to link your LinkedIn profile in order to add completed courses and share your achievements with your network.

Do you teach courses? Then be sure to share the LinkedIn Learning Quick Start Guide for Students [contextual link to article] with your classes so they can access everything that LinkedIn Learning has to offer to start building the skills they need to succeed

Update lynda.psu.edu Links

If you were a lynda.psu.edu user and shared or saved video, course, or playlist links, you must replace them with new LinkedIn Learning links. Additionally, after the upgrade, Lynda links will no longer direct users to specific videos and will instead take them to the course overview page in the corresponding course.

NOTE: All Lynda links will re-direct until December 31st, 2019. To avoid broken links, replace any Lynda links with LinkedIn Learning.

Goodbye Playlists, Hello Collections

Collections are lists of courses and videos and have the same functionality as playlists in Lynda.  If you created playlists in Lynda, they will automatically migrate to LinkedIn Learning as collections. Be sure to update any shared or saved Lynda links to LinkedIn Learning. For more information about creating collections, see the KB article LinkedIn Learning: Create a Collection.

Share Content

LIL makes it easy to share content and collections with others. You can share content via link, embed code, or via your LinkedIn network. See the articles below for directions:
