Are you looking for a basic overview of Canvas (Penn State’s Learning Management System)? This 1-hour demonstration session will introduce you to the fundamentals of Canvas at Penn State. You will walk away with best practices and resources for using Canvas to facilitate teaching and learning.

Do you want to use multiple methods to measure students' mastery of your course content? This 2.5-hour hands-on session will prepare you to design and deliver a variety of assessments in Canvas. You will walk through the steps for creating assignments and quizzes and explore quiz settings that determine how students interact with questions and review and receive feedback.
Every Canvas course should be built on a solid foundation of well-organized content. During this 2.5-hour hands-on session, you will begin constructing that foundation for one of your Canvas courses. Specifically, you will build a course structure with Modules, add Pages, upload files, and explore options for building a Course Home Page and Syllabus.

Explore how to organize and view grades, utilize SpeedGrader for grading and feedback, and pull grades from Canvas into LionPATH.
Snow day? Are you or your students sick? Students missing prerequisite skills? With Kaltura and Zoom, you can breathe easy knowing you can recover lost class time. In this session, participants will learn strategies to keep students engaged and accountable for missed material. Create reusable lectures with automatic chapters and slides allowing students to find exactly what they need, when they need it. Learn to use Kaltura Capture to create picture-in-picture videos giving students the flexibility to personalize the viewing experience. Create Video Quizzes to ensure that students are engaged and interacting with your lecture recordings.

Participants will learn about how to share individual items to be worked on collaboratively with others and how to create channels for a variety of audiences.

Integrating the Kaltura learning tools allows students and instructors to create and share media content within Canvas. During this 90-minute hands-on session, participants will learn how to add the Kaltura learning tools to their courses, build a Media Gallery to support learning, and explore how to update content and assignments by adding Kaltura media components.
