Microsoft Forms is a web-only application that enables you to create, distribute, and analyze quizzes and forms. This Forms Learning Path supports Penn State faculty, staff, and students looking to gather information using quizzes or forms. Quizzes are used for general assessment, while forms are used as information-gathering tools, such as surveys or polls. This learning path teaches you how to create, customize, share, and analyze results from forms and quizzes, individually or collaboratively using Microsoft's Office 365 Forms. This Sway Learning Path supports all Penn State faculty, staff and students who use Microsoft Sway. Learn how to create, save and export, share and collaborate, and present Sways. You may choose to follow this learning path in the order of the modules or choose topics to review at your own pace. Sway is an online application. Windows 10 users can download the app and run it from their Windows 10 PC. The desktop app is not available on other versions of Windows or on Macintosh.

Web-Based Whiteboarding Tools: Google Jamboard and Microsoft Whiteboard

Using an interactive whiteboard is a great way to increase engagement in an online synchronous class. While Zoom includes its own whiteboard and annotation tools, Office 365 and G Suite offer two interactive and sharable whiteboarding applications that can be used synchronously or asynchronously via the web.

Please Note: This page only covers the browser-based versions of these tools. Microsoft Whiteboard's downloadable Windows 10 and mobile app versions offer far more features than the browser-based version. For more information about the Windows 10 and mobile versions of Whiteboard, see Microsoft’s Whiteboard Help page. Jamboard's mobile app includes handwriting, shape, and drawing recognition in addition to the tools listed below.
