This hands-on session prepares Canvas users to optimize content for accessibility. Participants learn to identify accessibility issues within content, use the Rich Content Editor, create extended deadlines for quiz and assignment submissions, and use recommended guidelines for accessible quizzes.

This session will acquaint members of the Penn State community with several of the primary features of the Qualtrics survey tool. Qualtrics is a robust tool that allows users to quickly create and distribute surveys, as well as report the results of surveys using a powerful reporting tool.
Objectives:
Top Hat is a student engagement system and comprehensive teaching platform that instructors can use to engage students in and outside of the classroom with interactive slides, graded questions, customized content, videos, discussions, and polls. When integrated with Canvas, instructors can also seamlessly synchronize rosters and grades. Top Hat utilizes no separate hardware but rather asks students to use their smartphones, tablets, laptops, or ordinary cell phones to participate in activities.

Over the course of 2 sessions, you’ll dive deeper into the options available in iTwo, developing more complex queries while building upon the skills you gained in the introductory training.
Self-Study Option
A self-study alternative to the online training is also available. This allows you to study the materials on your own and then take a 10 question online assessment to test-out of the training. Completing this assessment serves as the equivalent of completing the online session. This is an excellent option if you are looking to receive training and access to iTwo right away, or if you prefer to go over the materials on your own, at your own pace.
