This session will acquaint members of the Penn State community with several of the primary features of the Qualtrics survey tool. Qualtrics is a robust tool that allows users to quickly create and distribute surveys, as well as report the results of surveys using a powerful reporting tool.

  • Discuss the primary features of Qualtrics
  • Explore the Qualtrics interface
  • Identify the resources available to Qualtrics users

Sites at Penn State: Building Blogs and/or ePortfolios

This hands-on online session  focuses on the Sites at Penn State tool, a blogging and website platform powered by WordPress. Get started with the Sites at Penn State tool and learn to create a personal or course blog, department, event, or course website, or an ePortfolio. Discuss best practices for managing text, posts, pages, media, and themes while exercising best practices in site design.

Objectives:

  • Explore the Sites at Penn State interface
  • Create new site pages to include content such as contact information, information about the site owner, or a resume
  • Create and manage blog and ePortfolio content including text, files, links, images, and video
  • Change the site theme including the header image
