This hands-on sessions will focus on optimizing materials for accessibility using tools in Word and PowerPoint 2013. Participants will use these tools to create a Word document and a PowerPoint presentation that has been optimized for accessibility. Best practices for formatting and design will be discussed.

Objectives:

  • Explore best practices for optimizing for accessibility
  • Apply and modify heading styles
  • Format tables and lists
  • Add alternative text and captions to images
